At ICI, we utilize chess as an educational tool.

Our program has yielded significant academic benefits. In fact, the U.S Education Review conducted a comprehensive 3-year study of our programs with conclusive results. The study analyzed 20 of our chess programs within 20 schools of varying wealth stratifications across 4 states. The goal of the study was to determine if regular participation in a chess program could indicate noticeable improvement in math and science scores. The results are in, according to the U.S Education report, "Students who regularly attended an ICI chess program improved their math and sciences scores by an average of 18.25%". These are the most substanial improvements in math and science scores in recorded history.

The ICI is honored and humbled by the results of this comprehensive 3-year study. Although these results speak highly of our program and the academic value gained from regular particapation in our chess program, these are not surprising results. The ICI has been ranked as the top chess institute in America for over a decade. (American Chess Review). Our institute has produced the most state and national chess champions of any institute in North America.

The ICI is not your average chess program.
